Equinor has rescheduled the commencement of its planned annual maintenance shutdown at Norway's Hammerfest LNG export terminal to June 13, according to a company spokesperson.
Europe's largest liquefied natural gas export terminal possesses a daily processing capacity of 18.4 million cubic meters of natural gas, representing approximately 5% of Norway's total gas exports.
Originally announced in January and set for June 8-11, the maintenance period has been adjusted to run from June 13 to June 16.
The facility, located on Melkøya Island, processes gas sourced from the Snøhvit field in the Barents Sea, situated approximately 143 kilometers from the coast. The ownership consortium of the plant includes Equinor, Petoro, TotalEnergies, Vaar Energi, and Harbour Energy.
