PDD's New Xiongan Company Hires 150 Staff, Including Graduates Finding Local Jobs

The e-commerce giant PDD Holdings Inc has quickly taken action following its formal announcement of establishing PDD Information Technology Services (Xiongan) Co., Ltd., with an initial cash investment of 5 billion yuan.

According to the company, as of mid-June, the new Xiongan entity has already onboarded 150 new employees through direct company contracts, forming a vital force for the new company's development.

The company is focusing its Xiongan operations on areas such as big data processing, digital operations and maintenance, and cloud platform services. It has launched a specialized recruitment plan, directly hiring for roles including customer service, content review, operations, and IT maintenance. The entire recruitment cycle is expected to create over 5,000 job opportunities locally.

Since establishing the new company in the Xiongan New Area, PDD has accelerated its specialized hiring, with an average of nearly thirty employees signing contracts each workday. Over 80% of these new hires are from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

With the graduation season underway, the Xiongan company is also expanding its recruitment of graduates from universities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area, promoting employment for new graduates and supporting the coordinated development of the region.

Xie Zhenyu, born in 2003 and a recent graduate from a university in Hebei, was recently anxious about his post-graduation job search. Despite daily resume submissions and interviews, the offers he received were somewhat unsatisfactory.

In early June, however, he received a job interview invitation from the new PDD company. The opportunity—from a leading platform, located close to home, and with comprehensive benefits—was very appealing to him.

"My home is in Dingxing County, Baoding City, less than 40 kilometers from the Xiongan New Area, under an hour's drive," Xie Zhenyu said. "I originally thought I would have to go to Beijing or Shanghai for good career prospects, but I didn't expect to find a great job right at my doorstep."

He added that the company provides professional training and a clear career progression path. His goal is to continuously improve his skills, achieve personal career success, and contribute to the development of the Xiongan New Area.
