At the AMD AI Developer Day event held today, AMD Chairman and CEO Lisa Su shared the company's commitment to the Greater China region.
Lisa Su pointed out that AMD has been deeply rooted in China for over 30 years. Reflecting on this journey, AMD firmly believes that China has become a crucial force in driving the company's strategic deployment, which spans areas including chips, artificial intelligence software, and platform engineering. In fact, AMD's Shanghai R&D Center and China R&D Center are among the company's largest R&D facilities globally.
"We are so invested precisely because of our firm belief that this enables us to collaborate with one of the world's smartest AI regions," Lisa Su revealed. From any perspective, AMD's investment exceeds its own needs, but the focus is on every layer of cooperation with the Greater China region, including silicon, software, and systems.
"This is why we have invested in AI Centers of Excellence across many fields in China, this is why we are a partner to China's largest and most influential cloud enterprise companies, and this is also why we are deeply committed to China's ecosystem."
Lisa Su stated, "The most exciting aspect of the Chinese ecosystem is that it is a region that truly understands open innovation; it is a very special case study."
