On September 23, a specialized training session titled "Exploration and Reflection on Commercial Aerospace" was held in Shenyang, marking a significant step in the city's push to break through in the commercial space sector. The event was organized by the Shenyang Aerospace and Low-Altitude Economy Industry Task Force, hosted by the Shenyang Aviation Industry Group, and featured Wang Jiasheng, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Aerospace Systems Engineering and Director of its Science and Technology Committee.
The training attracted over 80 representatives from relevant municipal departments, districts, counties, and municipal enterprises. The session was structured around five key dimensions: global commercial aerospace development trends, understanding the industry's fundamental nature, its strategic significance, domestic industry practices, and forward-looking development recommendations. Participants gained a deep analysis of the global industrial competitive landscape alongside the current domestic situation, while the curriculum provided a comprehensive interpretation of the strategic positioning and modern value of commercial space exploration.
The program also showcased national advancements in satellite manufacturing, rocket development, launch services, and tracking and control systems. Grounded in policy direction, industrial principles, and practical experience, the training clarified the "how to view and how to execute" framework for commercial aerospace, offering concrete suggestions tailored to Shenyang's unique development pathway. The task force described the event as a direct implementation of the municipal party committee and government's strategic directives.
Looking ahead, the task force announced it will build on the outcomes of this training, leveraging its role in coordinated breakthroughs and systematic operations. Key priorities include overcoming bottlenecks in Shenyang's commercial space industry, identifying viable growth paths, anchoring major projects, studying extraordinary measures, and fostering a robust industrial ecosystem. The ultimate goal is to continuously strengthen Shenyang's aerospace growth engine, establish a competitive local brand on the national stage, accelerate the city's pace of development, and provide strong support for Shenyang's vision of becoming an internationally oriented central city in Northeast Asia.
