China Mobile Declares RMB 2.51 Interim Dividend per Share for 1H 2026; Payment Slated for 30 September

China Mobile Limited released a new cash-dividend announcement on 13 August 2026, confirming an interim ordinary dividend of RMB 2.51 per share for the six months ended 30 June 2026. Based on the fixed exchange rate of RMB 1 = HKD 1.1555, shareholders on the Hong Kong register will receive HKD 2.9003 per share by default, unless they elect to receive the payout in Renminbi.

The stock will trade ex-dividend on 25 August 2026. Share transfer documents must be lodged by 16:30 on 26 August 2026, after which the register will close from 27 to 31 August 2026. Entitlements will be determined on the 31 August 2026 record date, and cash distribution is scheduled for 30 September 2026.

In line with Mainland tax regulations, China Mobile will withhold 10% enterprise income tax from dividends distributed to non-resident enterprise shareholders whose names appear on the Hong Kong share register as of the record date. Natural-person investors will not be subject to such withholding. Resident enterprise shareholders seeking exemption must submit tax-authority documentation to Computershare Hong Kong Investor Services Limited no later than 16:30 on 26 August 2026.

Investors holding China Mobile shares via Shanghai-Hong Kong or Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect will receive dividends through HKSCC after the 10% enterprise income-tax deduction. Separate announcements will address payout arrangements for holders of the company’s RMB-denominated A shares listed in Shanghai.

The board currently comprises three executive directors—Mr. Chen Zhongyue, Mr. Chen Yangfan, and Mr. Li Ronghua—and four independent non-executive directors—Mr. Yiu Kin Wah Stephen, Dr. Yang Qiang, Mr. Lee Ka Sze Carmelo, and Mrs. Leung Ko May Yee Margaret.
