Some Chip Stocks Jump With ARM up 7%, Micron up 3%, Nvidia up 2%; TMHC Surges 23%

Some chip stocks jumped in premarket trading. ARM Holdings soared 7%, United Microelectronics jumped 5%, Credo Technology Group Holding Ltd, Micron Technology and Broadcom jumped 3%, SanDisk Corp., SUPER MICRO COMPUTER INC,ON Semiconductor, Direxion Daily Semiconductors Bull 3x Shares, Ambarella, Navitas Semiconductor Corp and Qnity Electronics Inc jumped 2%.

At Computex Taipei NVIDIA said it will deploy an RTX Spark “superchip” in PCs to challenge Intel’s dominance. The chip will appear in Dell Technologies and Lenovo laptops and desktops from this autumn. Built with MediaTek assistance, the SoC combines a microprocessor and GPU and will run Microsoft Windows for Arm. Nvidia shares extended rally to 2% on the news.

Berkshire Hathaway has agreed to acquire Taylor Morrison Home Corporation in an all-cash deal valued at about $8.5 billion, the companies jointly said on Sunday, marking an expansion of the conglomerate’s housing business. Taylor Morrison Home Corporation shares surged 23% on the news.
