The World Internet Conference Artificial Intelligence Professional Committee held its 2026 plenary meeting and third chairpersons' meeting on the evening of November 2 in Wuzhen, Zhejiang.
The meeting was chaired by Wang Jian, Chief Chair of the committee and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, during which proposed additions to the list of vice chairpersons were reviewed and voted upon.
Kong Qi, CEO of Jiushi, was elected as a vice chairperson of the committee.
The World Internet Conference Artificial Intelligence Professional Committee was established in 2024 as the first specialized and regular branch institution set up by the World Internet Conference, bringing together experts and representatives from international organizations, research institutes, renowned think tanks and industry in the global artificial intelligence field.
The committee has three advancement programs under it: standards, safety and governance, and industry. It is dedicated to building an international exchange and cooperation platform for artificial intelligence and promoting coordinated progress in AI technological innovation, industrial development and global governance.
As an enterprise that has long been deeply engaged in the L4 autonomous driving sector, Jiushi has in recent years continued to increase investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure and core technology research and development, driving autonomous driving technology to extend from urban logistics to broader urban services and industrial scenarios.
In September 2026, Jiushi announced the completion of a strategic upgrade toward "city-level physical AI," building an intelligent technology system centered on the "Jiushi Brain AI Driver."
To date, Jiushi's global unmanned fleet has exceeded 30,000 vehicles, with cumulative real operating mileage approaching 300 million kilometers and business operations covering more than 360 cities worldwide.
