China Mobile Issues 11.77 Million New H-Shares in April as Employees Exercise Options, Raising HKD 615.02 Million

China Mobile Limited reported an increase of 11.77 million ordinary shares in April 2026, all stemming from employee option exercises under its two share-option schemes approved on 20 May 2020.

• Share count dynamics – Hong Kong-listed ordinary shares (H-shares) rose to 20.77 billion from 20.75 billion at March-end. – The Shanghai-listed RMB share base remained unchanged at 902.77 million. – The group has no treasury shares on record.

• Option scheme details 1) Scheme with an exercise price of HKD 55.00: 2.19 million options exercised, reducing outstanding options to 74.43 million. 2) Scheme with an exercise price of HKD 51.60: 9.59 million options exercised and 0.07 million lapsed, cutting outstanding options to 429.29 million.

• Capital raised – Cash proceeds from April option exercises totaled HKD 615.02 million (USD equivalent not disclosed).

• Public-float compliance – China Mobile confirmed that its H-share public float remained above the 5 % threshold required for PRC issuers with dual listings.

Following these movements, the company’s total issued share capital stands at 21.67 billion shares, comprising 20.77 billion H-shares and 0.90 billion RMB shares.
