The Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index advanced 0.5% to reach an intraday peak as WTI crude oil extended its gains, surpassing $78 per barrel to hit its highest level since January 2025.
All G-10 currencies declined during the session, with the Australian dollar leading the losses, falling by approximately 1%.
The Canadian dollar outperformed, registering the smallest decline among the major currencies.
