Chabaidao (02555) management revealed during its fiscal 2026 interim earnings call on August 28 that the company's overseas operations have entered a phase of large-scale expansion, with multiple stores simultaneously opening in France, South Korea, and Malaysia as part of a batch-signing strategy. As of now, the number of signed overseas stores exceeds 100, with new market coverage added in Canada, New Zealand, and Vietnam.
In South Korea, Chabaidao has completed its strategic positioning and achieved overall profitability, operating across major cities including Seoul, Busan, and Jeju Island. With over 50 signed stores, it has become the Chinese dining brand with the largest store count in South Korea, where local customers account for more than 80% of its customer base. This gives the brand a market share leadership that continues to widen.
During the earnings call, management highlighted that the overseas market saw more than 120 SKU launches in the first half of the year. South Korea and Southeast Asia are expected to remain the primary markets for future expansion, while select key countries will be cultivated as strategic markets for persistent and steady growth. Public information indicates that Chabaidao is set to open a store within the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris later this year, marking its entry as the first Chinese new-style tea brand to secure a location within that world-renowned museum's commercial complex.
