On December 18, Hang Seng Index Company introduced the Hang Seng Stock Connect Electronics Theme Index. This index tracks the performance of Hong Kong-listed companies accessible through Stock Connect that are engaged in electronics-related businesses, including semiconductors, basic electronic components, telecommunications equipment and parts, IT equipment and components, as well as audio-visual equipment and components. The new index is calculated and updated in real-time every two seconds.
