Major Projects in Beijing's Sub-Center Accelerated, Xiaomi Auto's First Phase at Full Capacity

On April 10, the third press conference titled "Changes in the Sub-Center" was held. It was announced that major projects in Beijing's sub-center are advancing rapidly, with Xiaomi Auto's first phase operating at full production capacity. Liu Yajun, a member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Zhongguancun Tongzhou Park, stated that the sub-center is focusing on high-quality industrial development, coordinating efforts comprehensively to achieve significant improvements across key indicators. From January to February, the total industrial output value of enterprises above a designated size in Tongzhou District increased by 7.5% year-on-year, surpassing the city's average by 5.2 percentage points. Revenue in the information and software industry grew by 38.1% year-on-year, ranking second in the city, while revenue in the technology services sector rose by 17.1%, ranking third. Research and development expenses for large and medium-sized key enterprises increased by 23.1% year-on-year, also ranking third in the city, laying a solid foundation for a strong start to the year. In terms of major project construction, the sub-center has maintained an annual investment exceeding 100 billion yuan for six consecutive years, with construction and installation investment ranking first in the city for seven years. Currently, Xiaomi Auto's first phase is operating at full capacity, the Beijing Future Design Lab has been completed and delivered, the Northwestern Polytechnical University Research Institute has been inaugurated, the structural framework of the Intelligent Manufacturing Base in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Information Innovation Town has been topped out, and the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology ICT Innovation Base project is accelerating construction. The Tsinghua Wudaokou Finance College is expected to be completed by June next year, while facilities for Beijing Consulting and Beijing Construction Institute are set to become operational soon. Additionally, several other major projects, including the Beijing Dance Academy, Young Artists Workshop, Liandong Group International Enterprise Port, and the expansion of Tongmei Crystal, are steadily progressing, injecting strong momentum into the industrial development of the sub-center.
