CHINA POWER (02380) has announced that on July 2, 2026, its indirectly owned non-wholly owned subsidiaries, Yuanda Engineering and Yuanda Water, entered into an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract with Shandong Institute.
Under the terms of this agreement, Yuanda Engineering and Yuanda Water will provide a comprehensive suite of services for the construction of the desulfurization system for the Liutang Project. These services encompass survey and design, equipment procurement, construction and installation, and other technical support, with a total contract value of RMB219.9 million.
This move comes as national environmental standards for coal-fired power plants become increasingly stringent. The contractors will leverage their specialized expertise in providing EPC services for desulfurization and zero liquid discharge wastewater systems to assist the client in meeting mandatory regulatory compliance requirements.
The company believes that securing this EPC contract will strengthen the contractors' position within the environmental protection sector. Furthermore, the project aligns with the group's strategic objective of transitioning towards becoming a provider of green and low-carbon energy.
