Tongda Group’s 2025 ESG Report Shows Sharp Cuts in Emissions and Expanded Supply-Chain Oversight

Tongda Group (00698) released its 10th Environmental, Social and Governance Report, detailing climate-transition progress, workforce data and community initiatives for the 12 months ended 31 December 2025.

Environmental Results • Scope 1-2 greenhouse-gas emissions dropped 35.82 % to 113,343.92 tonnes of CO₂-e; intensity fell to 21.88 kg per HK$1,000 of revenue. • Total energy use slid 35.52 % to 214,948.82 MWh, helped by photovoltaic generation at Shishi factories and broader green-power purchases (18,515.66 MWh). • Hazardous waste fell 21.78 % to 1,353.49 tonnes, while non-hazardous waste declined 17.64 % to 8,460.30 tonnes; 88 % of non-hazardous waste was recycled. • Water consumption eased 3.52 % to 2.06 million m³. The group reported no water-supply constraints.

Carbon-Reduction Targets Tongda aims to cut energy-consumption and Scope 1-2 emission intensities 10 % from the 2024 baseline by 2030; 2025 performance is already ahead of schedule, with both intensities down more than 30 %.

Supply-Chain & Governance • Active suppliers rose to 2,805, with 89.64 % implementing ESG practices; 98.24 % are mainland-based. • All divisions use ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and QC 080000 management systems; three divisions hold IATF 16949 certification. • No corruption cases or regulatory breaches were recorded; 30,905.5 staff-hours of anti-corruption training were delivered.

Workforce & Safety • Headcount stood at 9,401 across China, Vietnam and Malaysia; 66.50 % are male. • Lost-time injury rate was 0.50 % with zero fatalities. • Average training hours reached 6.97 per employee; the training coverage rate was 181.67 %.

Community Investment Cash and in-kind donations totaled RMB0.20 million, focusing on education, health and environmental projects; employees participated in beach clean-ups, blood drives and autism-care activities.

Board-Level Oversight The board directly supervises ESG strategy, supported by a cross-functional working group that tracks progress against climate-scenario analyses aligned with IPCC and IEA pathways.

Tongda said it will continue expanding onsite renewable energy and deepen supplier ESG engagement to meet its 2030 interim targets and China’s 2050 carbon-neutral goal.
