From January to February, these enterprises generated 1,571.8 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, marking a year-on-year increase of 4.1%. This growth rate accelerated by 4.0 percentage points compared to December 2025. The average daily power generation was 26.64 billion kilowatt-hours.

Analyzed by power source, thermal power generation by these enterprises shifted from decline to growth during January-February, while hydropower growth accelerated. In contrast, the growth rates for nuclear power, wind power, and solar power slowed down. Specifically, thermal power generation increased by 3.3% year-on-year, compared to a decrease of 3.2% in December 2025. Hydropower generation grew by 6.8%, with the growth rate accelerating by 2.7 percentage points. Nuclear power generation increased by 0.8%, but its growth rate slowed by 2.3 percentage points. Wind power generation rose by 5.3%, with the growth rate decelerating by 3.6 percentage points. Solar power generation saw a significant increase of 9.9%, although its growth rate slowed considerably by 8.3 percentage points.

Appendix 1. Indicator Explanation Average Daily Product Output: This is calculated by dividing the total output of industrial enterprises above the designated size announced for the month by the number of calendar days in that month. 2. Statistical Coverage The output data in this report pertains to industrial enterprises above the designated size. The statistical scope includes industrial enterprises with annual main business revenue of 20 million yuan or more. As the scope of industrial enterprises above the designated size changes annually, to ensure comparability of data between the current year and the previous year, the base figures used for calculating year-on-year growth rates for indicators like product output are consistent with the current statistical scope of enterprises. This may result in differences compared to data published in the previous year.
