Mitsubishi Motors Unveils Collaborative Pickup Truck and Kei-Car Initiatives with Nissan

Mitsubishi Motors announced on Friday, as part of its new mid-term business plan, a joint pickup truck project with Nissan for the North American market.

In Japan, the two companies will also co-develop and produce Kei-class small cars, which will be available with either gasoline or fully electric powertrains.

Mitsubishi Motors stated in its presentation that it plans to invest approximately 1 trillion yen (approximately 6.28 billion USD) with the goal of achieving an operating profit of 160 billion yen, an operating profit margin of 4.5%, and a return on equity of 10% by the fiscal year 2029.
