The Trump administration has launched a new program called "Tech Force," aimed at advancing artificial intelligence infrastructure and other technological projects.

According to the program's official website, approximately 1,000 engineers and technical experts will be recruited under a two-year employment commitment.

This specialized team will focus on "high-impact technology projects, including AI implementation, application development, data modernization, and digital service delivery for federal agencies."

These professionals will report directly to agency leaders while collaborating with top tech firms such as Amazon Web Services, Apple, and Microsoft. Private sector partners also include Google, NVIDIA, OpenAI, Oracle, and Palantir, among others.

Scott Kupor, Director of the US Office of Personnel Management, stated:

"We are reshaping the workforce to ensure we have the right talent to address critical challenges."

The Tech Force program also establishes a two-way talent exchange mechanism. After completing their two-year tenure, participants may pursue full-time roles at partner companies, which have pledged priority hiring for program alumni. Conversely, private partners can nominate employees for government service rotations. Salaries are expected to range between $150,000 and $200,000 annually, with additional benefits.

This initiative follows President Trump's executive order four days ago establishing a unified AI policy framework. Trump previously emphasized that AI professionals and companies should face no barriers when operating in the US, stating:

"If they need 50 different approvals from 50 different states, forget it—that’s just not feasible."
