Under the refined oil pricing mechanism, the next round of fuel price adjustments will take effect at midnight on October 29 (Thursday this week).
This pricing cycle covers 10 working days, and 7 working days of statistics have already been completed as of today. Influenced by the continuous rise in international oil prices last week, the current international crude oil change rate has reached 6.17%. Gasoline and diesel prices are projected to increase by 345 yuan per ton, which translates to a rise of 0.26 yuan to 0.31 yuan per liter at the pump.
At this stage, the probability of a fuel price hike in this cycle is already very high, and there remains room for further increases. If the current forecast materializes, domestic 92-octane and 95-octane gasoline prices may hit new highs after the October 29 adjustment.
The final adjustment prices for this round are subject to the announcement by the National Development and Reform Commission. Drivers who need to refuel may wish to plan their fueling time accordingly.
