Weibo has issued an official response regarding the suspension of the account belonging to Yu Hao, CEO of Dreame.
The official community observer account for Weibo, @围脖侠, stated on June 10th that after verification, the account @俞浩-爱送黄金 was reported by a company. The account, as a notable online figure, was found to have posted content that questioned and disparaged enterprises in forms such as "open letters," violating the requirements of the Cyberspace Administration of China's "Clear and Bright · Optimizing the Online Business Environment and Regulating Malicious Speculation Involving Enterprise Information" special campaign. Consequently, it has been ordered to be suspended on multiple platforms. The post urged netizens to understand the reason, enhance their discernment, and avoid believing or spreading unverified information.
On June 5th, the Weibo profile of Yu Hao, founder and CEO of Dreame Technology, displayed a notice stating the user was in a restricted posting state due to violations of relevant laws and regulations.
Yu Hao's last Weibo update was at 11 p.m. on June 1st.
Also on June 5th, online rumors suggested that authorities in a certain area of Jiangsu province were requesting statistics on local companies' cooperation with Dreame Technology. Affected by this, the share price of Jia Mei Packaging (002969), a listed company recently acquired by Yu Hao, plunged in the afternoon session, hitting the daily limit-down. Relevant personnel indicated to reporters that the aforementioned data collection was routine work information without any particular implications.
On the afternoon of June 5th, Yu Hao stated in a company-wide internal group chat that the firm should focus single-mindedly on its core business, providing the best technology and products. "Our energy must be 100% on technology R&D and products. There are no shortcuts on the path of industry; only by being down-to-earth. Those who walk steadily and solidly can go far," he said.
Yu Hao, born in 1987 in Nantong, Jiangsu province and a graduate of Tsinghua University's School of Aerospace, is the founder and CEO of Dreame Technology. Recently, Yu Hao's high-profile media presence and the company's large-scale cross-sector expansion have attracted attention and controversy. Various statements, including "Dreame employees lash out at CEO Yu Hao," "Yu Hao declares aim to build the first hundred-trillion-dollar company ecosystem," "Yu Hao aims to become world's richest person within five years," "Yu Hao calls for Yu Chengdong to join Dreame," and "Yu Hao responds to media frenzy controversy," have drawn market scrutiny.
