To activate the new momentum of OPC (One-Person Company) "super individuals" and pioneer the path for innovation and upgrading in Guangdong's robotics industry, Foshan's Shunde district has taken the lead. On May 30th, the Robot OPC Community held its signing and settlement ceremony at the Yunlu Listing Town in Shunde, Foshan, marking the province's first such community.
The community focuses on embodied intelligence and robotics application scenarios, emphasizing areas such as the development and fine-tuning of embodied intelligence models, secondary development and localized services for robots, and robot operation and maintenance services. Leveraging the OPC order aggregation and intelligent dispatch platform, it consolidates genuine enterprise demands into an order pool, precisely matching them with entrepreneurs. This achieves "pre-emptive demand对接, real-order entry, and delivery capability verification."
Simultaneously, training courses are optimized based on order data, forming a closed loop of "order fulfillment, data accumulation, and reverse talent cultivation." This enables technical professionals to embark on lightweight entrepreneurship, fostering a group of "hard-tech super individuals."
The carrier space is planned to include supporting facilities such as a robot training ground, robot maintenance center, micro-computing power center, and scenario validation center to accommodate OPC entrepreneurs.
In 2025, Guangdong ranked first in China for the output of both industrial robots and service robots. Currently, Shunde is fully promoting the digital and intelligent transformation of manufacturing, concentrating efforts to expand and strengthen the robotics industry as its fourth urban hallmark, and listing intelligent robots as one of the nine key strategic emerging industries for cultivation.
By the end of December 2025, the output value of Shunde's robotics industry approached 40 billion yuan, with 2,925 market entities. It has formed a complete industrial chain from key components and本体 manufacturing to system integration. Global robotics giant KUKA, in deep collaboration with Midea Group, has established its largest industrial robot本体 production base in South China in Shunde. Locally, Shunde has nurtured a group of leading "little giant" enterprises in niche segments, such as Jiateng, Longshen, Tiantai, and Huayan. For core components, companies like Orbbec, Zhongda Lide, and Langyuxin have successively settled or commenced production in the area.
Centered on empowering manufacturing with artificial intelligence, constructing a high-standard super OPC community, and exploring the synergy between manufacturing and service industries are key initiatives for Shunde to empower industrial iteration, upgrade, and activate micro-level innovation momentum.
Using the province's first robot OPC community as a node, Shunde is building a robotics industrial chain. Presently, Shunde has organized robotics competitions at primary and secondary school levels and explored offering related courses at Shunde Polytechnic to reserve practical talent for the industry. It is about to launch a national robotics innovation and entrepreneurship competition and has signed agreements with universities in Hong Kong to introduce such competitions to Shunde, forming a "domestic and international" competition格局 to broadly attract projects and talent. It plans to build a robotics scenario application demonstration base at Yunlu Listing Town, creating a nationally leading open robotics "experience field" to drive technological iteration and industrial agglomeration through real, large-scale scenario applications. Concurrently, it is preparing to establish a robotics-specific fund, managed by industry leaders and professional institutions, dedicated to discovering and investing in high-quality projects in the robotics field.
"In the past, when introducing Shunde, we had two shining名片: the national home appliance capital and the world美食之都. This year, we have also gained the new名片 of world green design capital. We hope that years from now, when introducing Shunde, it will also be known as the 'Chinese robotics manufacturing capital'," said Ou Shengjun, Director of the Shunde District Science and Technology Bureau.
On the same day, the Yunlu Listing Town OPC Community was officially launched. It integrates toolchains such as AI script generation, text-to-video, image-to-video, AI voice-over, and intelligent editing to build shared video creation workstations. By collaborating with e-commerce enterprises and brand owners, it connects commercial orders for short video marketing, live-streaming sales, and brand promotion, providing OPCs with comprehensive support from creative planning and content generation to multi-platform distribution, thereby cultivating a group of "digital cultural creation super individuals."
