Bulletin Express10-29 21:21

Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (Chalco) reported the latest progress on the share-accumulation program launched by its controlling shareholder, Aluminum Corporation of China (Chinalco), and affiliated concert parties.

On 20 July 2026 Chinalco outlined a 12-month plan to acquire additional Chalco A- and H-shares worth between RMB 1.00 billion and RMB 2.00 billion, capped at 2% of the company’s outstanding equity. The buying window runs through 19 July 2027.

As of 29 October 2026 Chinalco and its concert parties have:

• Purchased 66.45 million A-shares via the Shanghai Stock Exchange and 88.42 million H-shares via the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, totaling 154.87 million shares. • Invested approximately RMB 1.26 billion, equivalent to 0.90% of Chalco’s issued share capital (A-shares 0.39%, H-shares 0.52%).

Post-transaction, Chinalco and its concert parties collectively own 5.91 billion Chalco shares—5.55 billion A-shares and 362.69 million H-shares—representing 34.46% of Chalco’s total share count.

Funding for the purchases derives from internal resources or dedicated bank loans. Chinalco intends to continue buying within the pre-announced limits. The company cautions that market conditions could affect the ultimate size and timing of further purchases, but confirms the program will not alter Chalco’s controlling shareholder structure.

Chalco states that all actions comply with applicable securities regulations and pledges ongoing, timely disclosure through designated information channels.
