COFCO Joycome Foods Limited released unaudited operating data for May 2026, highlighting sequential growth in both sales volume and pricing across its hog and fresh pork businesses.
In May, commercial hog sales reached 0.56 million heads, a 4.3 % increase from April’s 0.54 million. The average price for finishing hogs edged up 2.5 % month-on-month to RMB 9.60 per kg, reversing April’s softer pricing environment. Fresh pork sales stood at 35.4 thousand tons, up 2.0 % from April’s 34.7 thousand tons. Branded fresh pork accounted for 34.74 % of total fresh pork revenue, marginally lower than April’s 34.91 %.
Cumulatively, January–May commercial hog sales totaled 2.61 million heads, while fresh pork sales amounted to 158.4 thousand tons. The average finishing hog price for the first five months averaged RMB 10.73 per kg, with branded fresh pork contributing roughly one-third of total fresh pork revenue.
