CATL Issues 62.39 Million New H Shares at HKD 628.20, Expanding Share Capital by 40%

Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) disclosed that it completed a placement of 62.39 million new H shares on 30 April 2026, executed under a placing agreement signed on 28 April 2026.

The issuance lifts CATL’s H-share count to 218.30 million from 155.92 million, representing a 40.01 % expansion in outstanding shares. Priced at HKD 628.20 per share, the transaction implies gross proceeds of approximately HKD 39.14 billion (about USD 5.00 billion), calculated directly from the disclosed share count and issue price.

CATL confirmed that the allotment was fully authorised by its board and complied with all relevant Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing rules and legal requirements. No treasury share movements, repurchases, or cancellations were reported for the period ending 30 April 2026.
