On February 15, SDIC UBS Fund Management Co., Ltd. (SDIC UBS) announced that due to the historic extreme volatility in the silver market, the company has adjusted the valuation of its SDIC UBS Silver Futures Securities Investment Fund (LOF) to ensure fair treatment for all investors and prevent advantages for early redeemers. This announcement has drawn significant attention from investors.
SDIC UBS has responded with urgency to address investor concerns, promptly coordinating efforts and working around the clock to develop a specialized plan. The plan specifies that individual investors affected by the valuation adjustment (the portion changed from -17% to -31.5%) with an impact amount below 1,000 yuan will receive a full settlement matching the actual impact amount. This group represents over 90% of the investors who redeemed on the relevant day. For individual investors with an impact amount exceeding 1,000 yuan (inclusive), the total settlement amount will be calculated as 1,000 yuan plus a certain percentage of the amount over 1,000 yuan.
The announcement issued by SDIC UBS stated that the solution was developed following principles of tiered classification and reliability to maximize protection of investors' legitimate rights and interests, particularly those of small and medium investors. The plan applies to individual investors of the SDIC UBS Silver Futures Securities Investment Fund (LOF) whose redemptions were confirmed based on the net asset value of February 2, 2026 (including those who submitted redemption requests after 3:00 PM on January 30, 2026, and before 3:00 PM on February 2, 2026). Institutional investors are excluded from this plan.
The announcement indicated that eligible individual investors can complete the process online by searching for the "SDIC UBS Silver Fund" mini-program via Alipay and following the instructions after identity verification. Due to the large number of investors involved and the substantial workload, the company is making every effort to advance technical preparations to ensure a convenient and reliable resolution. The relevant mini-program is scheduled to officially launch on February 26, 2026.
