The Electronic Data Center Laboratory for Market Regulation Comprehensive Law Enforcement in Guangxi (Nanning) has successfully passed an expanded scope accreditation review under the China Metrology Accreditation (CMA) system. This milestone grants the facility new qualifications for authenticating electronic data, making it the first such laboratory within the national market regulation system following institutional reforms to hold dual CMA certifications for both the "existence" and "authenticity" of digital evidence.

During the assessment, an expert panel conducted a comprehensive technical review of the laboratory's entity, personnel, facilities, equipment, and management systems, strictly adhering to the "Accreditation Criteria for Inspection Bodies and Laboratories." The panel unanimously concluded that the laboratory operates an efficient quality management system, with its personnel, equipment, and environmental conditions all meeting the required standards.

The successful acquisition of this expanded accreditation significantly elevates the laboratory's professional technical capabilities, marking a breakthrough advancement in the technical support capacity for digital law enforcement within Guangxi's market regulation framework.

CMA certification represents a national authoritative evaluation of a testing institution's technical competence. Reports issued by accredited institutions carry legal weight and can serve as valid evidence in law enforcement and arbitration proceedings. The authentication of electronic data authenticity is a technically demanding discipline, requiring precise judgment on whether data has been tampered with or forged. Securing this qualification fully demonstrates the laboratory's robust professional expertise and technical reserves in the field of electronic evidence forensics.

It is understood that the laboratory was jointly established by the Guangxi Regional Market Regulation Administration and the Nanning Municipal Market Regulation Administration in June 2024. Since becoming operational, the laboratory has consistently received "double satisfactory" ratings in proficiency testing organized by the Institute of Forensic Science for two consecutive years, maintaining an excellent standard in comprehensive forensic analysis capabilities.

Moving forward, the Nanning Municipal Market Regulation Administration will continue to optimize its quality management system. It will deepen the cultivation of interdisciplinary talent in "digital + law enforcement" and foster technological innovation. The aim is to provide authoritative technical support for market regulation departments across the region to accurately identify electronic evidence and combat illegal activities according to the law, thereby contributing to the maintenance of a fair and orderly market environment.
