On August 6, market sources indicated that distributors of Wuliangye Yibin Co.,Ltd. in multiple regions have announced a price increase for the eighth generation of the company's flagship liquor, with the wholesale price for a full case rising by more than 100 yuan and a single bottle by 30 yuan. By the evening, one liquor distributor reported a wholesale price increase of 130 yuan per case compared to the previous week.
This distributor stated that they are already experiencing stock shortages. Additionally, due to the rapid price hike, the dealer has suspended quotations: "We will quote based on the prevailing market conditions tomorrow, and we are not shipping any goods right now." Wuliangye Yibin Co.,Ltd. has not yet responded to this development.
Previously, information from distributors and industry insiders revealed that the company has recently tightened multiple subsidy programs for its channel distributors. As a result, the overall cost for distributors of the eighth generation product has risen from approximately 800-850 yuan per bottle to about 850-900 yuan per bottle, representing an increase of roughly 50 yuan per bottle compared to the period before the subsidy reduction.
