Sichuan Baicha Baidao Industrial Co., Ltd. (ChaPanda) published its third Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, covering the period 1 January – 31 December 2025 and all subsidiaries.
Governance • The Board acts as the highest ESG decision-making body; an internal Management ESG Committee sets objectives and tracks progress. • Eleven compliance training sessions were held; 700 employee attendances and six directors completed anti-corruption training. • Two litigation cases were transferred to judicial authorities; a whistle-blower system via hotline, email and WeChat supports anonymous reporting.
Environment • Total greenhouse-gas emissions (Scope 1 + 2) reached 8,279.67 tCO₂e, with an intensity of 1.53 tCO₂e per million RMB revenue. A 1 % year-on-year intensity reduction target is set for 2026. • Comprehensive energy use was 1,939.90 tonnes of standard coal, including 15.47 million kWh of purchased electricity. • Water consumption totalled 82,189 tonnes (15.23 t per million RMB revenue); the company aims to lower intensity by 1 % in 2026. • Waste management recorded 9.71 t of hazardous waste and 91.08 t of non-hazardous waste; respective intensity reduction targets are 2 % and 3 % for 2026. • Packaging material use was 2,796.40 t, driven by higher output of injection-moulded cups and straws. • Senmian New Materials obtained ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certifications; the group met all environmental regulations without violations.
Social • Headcount stood at 2,096 (49.7 % female); turnover rate was 36.96 %. • No work-related fatalities or lost-time injuries were reported. • 4,595 employee training participations were logged, averaging 6.58 hours per person. • ChaPanda donated RMB8.61 million to public-interest causes and contributed 4,524 volunteer hours. Key programmes included 45 rural playgrounds, girls-empowerment projects and emergency relief after the Tai Po fire in Hong Kong. • Customer service registered 39,149 complaints, achieving a 100 % resolution rate. • Information-security controls were reinforced with DSMM Level 3 and Cybersecurity Classified Protection Level 3 certifications.
Operations & Supply Chain • Store network expanded to 8,621 outlets in mainland China and 38 overseas (South Korea, Thailand, Australia, Malaysia). Self-operated stores total 13. • Supplier base grew to 600, all subject to SRM-based onboarding; 185 suppliers underwent on-site audits. • Franchise supervision includes AI video checks and a six-stage training path for new supervisors; 67 supervisors were onboarded in 2025.
Intellectual Property • Total IP portfolio reached 1,233 items, including 47 active patents and 1,012 valid trademarks.
ChaPanda states that ESG metrics and climate-related targets will be reviewed annually, with board-level oversight and progress updates integrated into strategic planning.
