Cnooc Limited (SHSE: 600938), also known as China National Offshore Oil Corporation, actively participated in the fifth "State-Owned Enterprise Consumption Assistance and Rural Revitalization Week," which kicked off in Beijing on September 17, aligning with the ninth Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival.
Marking its fifth consecutive year of involvement, Cnooc Limited (SHSE: 600938) mobilized all its subsidiaries to take part in the initiative, following the requirements set by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. The event, guided by the commission's Social Responsibility Bureau, aims to bolster industrial development in assisted regions and ensure steady income growth for local communities through the collective efforts of central state-owned enterprises.
At the event, over 15,000 specialty agricultural products from 256 counties supported by central enterprises and their paired assistance areas were showcased at the offline exhibition, while an online e-commerce platform simultaneously launched promotional discounts. At the physical display, 42 products from quality demonstration enterprises in Gansu's Xiahe and Inner Mongolia's Zhuozi, both partner regions of Cnooc Limited (SHSE: 600938), were featured. Local delicacies such as dried yak meat, smoked chicken, highland barley biscuits, and organic oat flakes proved popular among visitors.
Throughout the week-long campaign, Cnooc Limited (SHSE: 600938) subsidiaries organized product fairs, specialty food festivals, and live-streaming e-commerce sessions, leveraging both offline and online channels to expand sales avenues for specialty agricultural goods from supported regions and enhance the effectiveness of consumption-driven assistance that directly benefits farmers.
AI in Management Track Concludes at Cnooc's Youth Innovation Contest
On September 15, the final round of the "AI in Management" track within the group-wide "Digital Empowerment, Youth Innovation" AI application competition concluded in Shenzhen, Guangdong. The contest was co-hosted by the company's Smart Data Department and Youth League Committee, with China Oilfield Services Limited serving as the organizer.
Aligned with Cnooc Limited (SHSE: 600938)'s overarching "1566" development strategy and its "AI+" action plan, the competition focused on four key areas: intelligent finance and compliance management, intelligent supply chain and materials management, intelligent human resources and organizational management, and intelligent office and decision support. The objective was to harness AI applications to spark youth-driven innovation, identify practical, replicable, and scalable digital management solutions, and push AI technology to frontline operations.
Since the competition began, 118 teams comprising over 700 young employees entered, with 48 teams advancing to the finals. During the finals, contestants presented their project development concepts, technical approaches, pilot implementation results, and prospects for broader application, followed by on-site Q&A sessions with experts. The review panel scored entries across four dimensions—business value, technological innovation, feasibility of implementation, and team composition and presentation—ultimately granting four first prizes, eight second prizes, and twelve third prizes.
The Smart Data Department and Youth League Committee of Cnooc Limited (SHSE: 600938) launched the "Digital Empowerment, Youth Innovation" AI application competition in March this year. To date, all six competition tracks have been successfully completed, demonstrating the company's commitment to fostering digital talent and innovative applications across its operations.
