As of the market close on January 2nd, 84 stocks reached new 52-week highs. APT Satellite (01045), Cybernaut International Holdings (01020), and APAC Resources (01104) led the gains, with increases of 34.72%, 16.92%, and 16.60%, respectively.

The top performers in the 52-week high rankings were APT Satellite (01045), which closed at HK$3.740 after reaching a high of HK$3.880, representing a 34.72% surge. Cybernaut International Holdings (01020) followed, closing at HK$0.226 with a high of HK$0.235 for a 16.92% gain. APAC Resources (01104) secured the third spot, closing at HK$2.640 after hitting HK$2.810, a 16.60% increase.

Other notable stocks achieving new highs included Base Prize Group (08460), MTT Group (02350), and Bright Sight Holdings (08603), with gains of 15.83%, 15.56%, and 15.55%, respectively.

The list of stocks hitting 52-week lows was led by Reco Bio - B (02179), which saw a decline of 15.00%, closing at HK$3.550 after falling to a low of HK$3.400. GuangZheng Education (06068) experienced a 14.08% drop, while XI 二南三星 - U (09347) decreased by 12.41%.

Other significant declines were recorded by Smart City Development Holdings (08268), down 10.77%, and Bojun Education (01758), which fell 10.09%. Weihong Group Holdings (03321) and Man Sang International (00938) both saw decreases exceeding 9%.
