April 23: National Average Pork Price Rises 1.0% to 14.83 Yuan/Kg in Wholesale Markets

According to monitoring data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the "200 Index" for agricultural product wholesale prices stood at 116.42 on April 23, a decrease of 0.06 points from the previous day. The wholesale price index for "basket of food" products was 117.06, down 0.07 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the national average pork price in wholesale markets was 14.83 yuan per kilogram, representing a 1.0% increase compared to yesterday. Beef was priced at 66.38 yuan per kilogram, down 0.3% from the previous day, while lamb cost 64.28 yuan per kilogram, also declining by 0.3%. The price of eggs fell 0.5% to 8.47 yuan per kilogram, and dressed chicken dropped 0.9% to 17.09 yuan per kilogram.

The average price for 28 key monitored vegetables was 4.36 yuan per kilogram, a slight decrease of 0.2% from yesterday. The average price for six key monitored fruits was 7.67 yuan per kilogram, up 0.3% from the previous day.

Crucian carp prices rose 0.5% to 20.08 yuan per kilogram, while common carp increased 0.8% to 14.76 yuan per kilogram. Silver carp prices declined 2.7% to 10.22 yuan per kilogram, and large hairtail saw a 0.5% increase to 41.87 yuan per kilogram.

Among the 46 key monitored categories in domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets today, the top five products with the largest price increases compared to yesterday were lettuce, onions, large yellow croaker, white radish, and celery, with increases of 2.7%, 2.3%, 1.8%, 1.6%, and 1.2% respectively. The top five products with the largest price decreases were silver carp, Chinese chives, cucumber, oyster mushrooms, and cauliflower, with declines of 2.7%, 2.0%, 1.8%, 1.7%, and 1.6% respectively.
