Chongxin County: Paper Industry Emerges as New Growth Engine Through Chain Integration

Deep News11-27

On November 26, the papermaking workshop at Gansu Yusen New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. in Chongxin County buzzed with activity as production lines operated at full capacity. Boxes of base paper and finished products were swiftly dispatched nationwide through the logistics system.

"Since the simultaneous commissioning of four paper machines on May 10 this year, our equipment has maintained stable operation with a current daily output of 300 tons of base paper," said Wang Shuai, the company's deputy general manager. The enterprise has rapidly scaled up production capacity and diversified its product range to include household paper, wet wipes, and cotton soft towels, successfully establishing several regional brands.

Wang attributed the company's growth to Chongxin County's favorable business environment, strategic northwestern location, and abundant coal resources. "Paper production requires substantial steam and electricity, which Chongxin's energy advantages reliably provide. Our operation fills the gap in premium household paper manufacturing across northwest China, presenting significant market potential."

With Gansu Yusen as the industrial anchor, Chongxin is transforming from a traditional coal-dependent city into a "Northwestern Paper Capital." Through comprehensive chain integration and cluster development, the county has attracted multiple paper product processors specializing in household paper conversion and color printing packaging, creating notable industrial agglomeration effects.

To address logistics challenges from daily 300-ton output, local authorities implemented targeted solutions to streamline transportation. Four major express companies—STO, YTO, J&T, and Yunda—have established deep partnerships with Yusen, enabling a same-day production-and-shipment system. Currently, over 40,000 paper product packages are shipped nationwide daily from Chongxin, effectively connecting production with sales.

The company has developed a diversified sales network combining livestream commerce, e-commerce platforms, and international trade expansion. "During this year's Singles' Day sales peak, we processed over 50,000 daily orders through livestreaming channels," Wang revealed. Additionally, the newly established Gansu Yutuo Trading Co. focuses on overseas markets, having secured agreements with Israel and Kazakhstan, marking a dual-drive strategy for domestic and international sales.

As Gansu Yusen spearheads development, Chongxin County is building a complete industrial chain from base paper to deep processing, achieving remarkable progress in establishing and strengthening its paper products sector.
