A research team focused on brand building and promotion for the Greater Zhangjiajie International Tourism Zone visited Li County for an inspection on the morning of July 3rd. The team was jointly established by the Hunan Provincial Committee's Publicity Department and the Hunan Station of China Media Group.
At the Chengtoushan National Archaeological Site Park, the research team conducted a field investigation of the ancient city exploration experience project and the site museum. Through on-site observation, listening to explanations, and personal experience, they gained an in-depth understanding of the protection and utilization of the Chengtoushan site and its integration with cultural tourism.
The Chengtoushan site boasts a history of over 6,000 years and is recognized as the earliest ancient city site discovered in China to date. It holds the prestigious title of "the Ancestor of Chinese Cities and the Origin of World Rice" and has been selected as the "Agricultural Culture Landmark" among the province's "Five Landmarks."
The research team expressed that the Chengtoushan site possesses unique cultural value and that its practice of integrating culture and tourism is effective. They hope that Li County will seize the opportunity presented by the brand linkage of the Greater Zhangjiajie International Tourism Zone. They suggested further refining the core IP of agricultural culture and leveraging the comprehensive media communication matrix of China Media Group to enhance the site's international recognition and influence, thereby providing strong support for the province's goal of building a world-class tourism destination.
