Cangzhou Customs recently added two new AEO certified enterprises within its jurisdiction: Hebei Mingliang Glass Products Co., Ltd. and Hebei Shuangyang Abrasive Manufacturing Co., Ltd. This brings the total number of AEO certified enterprises in Cangzhou to 25. The head of the Enterprise Management Department at Cangzhou Customs explained that AEO, or Authorized Economic Operator, is a credibility-based trade standard promoted by the World Customs Organization. To date, China Customs has signed AEO mutual recognition agreements with 32 economies, covering 58 countries and regions. "Becoming an AEO certified enterprise allows us to enjoy benefits such as reduced inspection rates and priority handling of import and export clearance procedures. It also enhances our credibility with international clients when expanding into overseas markets," said Chen Qilong, Deputy General Manager of Hebei Shuangyang Abrasive Manufacturing Co., Ltd., describing the certification as a valuable asset that boosts competitiveness in bidding for international orders. To provide targeted support and strengthen credit cultivation, Cangzhou Customs has established an AEO enterprise cultivation list and implemented a liaison officer mechanism to offer one-on-one assistance. Recently, Cangzhou Customs experts also conducted policy briefings for 12 leading import and export enterprises in the city, providing on-site explanations of AEO policies and the newly revised customs enterprise credit management measures. Moving forward, Cangzhou Customs will continue to support more high-quality enterprises in obtaining AEO certification, fully promoting the high-quality development of Cangzhou's foreign trade.
