On October 20, Creality (03388) launched domestic presales for its multicolor 3D printer SPARKX i8, priced at 2,509 yuan, with a qualifying final price as low as 2,199 yuan after stacking platform coupons during the Double Eleven shopping festival, subject to the platform page and individual coupon claims.

The model previously performed strongly in an overseas crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, with cumulative funds raised exceeding $4.63 million and more than 10,000 backers, setting multiple records in the platform's 3D printing category.

On the hardware side, the SPARKX i8 is equipped with the self-developed QuarTeks™ four-channel extrusion system, enabling color changes in less than one second. In official tests using a multicolor small boat model, its printing speed was more than five times that of traditional single-nozzle multicolor models. In waste tower mode, it can achieve zero grams of external flushing waste, reducing filament waste during color changes.

The device has a build volume of 260×260×255mm and is equipped with 17 sensors and an AI camera that can identify printing anomalies and automatically pause, lowering the operating threshold for beginners.

On the software ecosystem side, a large number of models on Creality Cloud have already been adapted, and with AI modeling tools such as CubeMe and SnapForm, users can upload images to generate printable 3D models.

Industry analysis noted that Creality is bringing multicolor printing operations closer to single-color printing and, relying on its "ecosystem + AI" layout, is expected to further expand the mass consumer market. The company is rolling out new products intensively in the second half of the year, and hardware, as an ecosystem entry point, will also continue to drive growth in repeat-purchase businesses such as filaments and memberships.
