COMEC Appoints Weng Hongbing as General Manager

COMEC (00317) announced that, based on the recommendation of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited and in light of the company's actual situation, the board of directors intends to nominate Mr. Weng Hongbing as a candidate for executive director of the company's 11th board of directors. His term will commence from the date of his election and last until the expiration of the 11th board's tenure. His remuneration will be determined in accordance with the company's "11th Term Directors and Senior Management Remuneration Scheme." Furthermore, if elected by the shareholders' meeting, Mr. Weng will be appointed as a member of the Strategic Committee of the 11th board of directors.

In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Shanghai and Hong Kong listing rules, as well as Article 148 of the company's Articles of Association, the company needs to appoint a General Manager. Considering Mr. Weng's long-term dedication to the shipbuilding industry and his extensive experience in ship manufacturing, operations, and management, he possesses the capability and professional qualities required for the role of General Manager. Consequently, Mr. Weng has been appointed as General Manager of the company, with his term commencing from the date of his election and lasting until the expiration of the 11th board of directors.
