China Castson 81 Finance Company Limited issued a positive profit alert for the six months ended 30 June 2026, forecasting a net profit of approximately HK$3 million to HK$5 million. The guidance marks a significant turnaround from the HK$3.80 million net loss recorded in the corresponding period of 2025.
The swing back to profitability is chiefly attributed to higher net fair value gains on financial assets measured at fair value through profit or loss. These gains are expected to rise to HK$9 million–HK$11 million, compared with HK$2.20 million in the prior-year period, representing an incremental uplift of roughly HK$6.80 million–HK$8.80 million.
Management noted that the interim figures are based on unaudited consolidated management accounts and remain subject to review by the company’s audit committee and external auditor. The final interim results are slated for release before the end of August 2026.
Investors are advised to interpret the preliminary figures with caution until the official interim report is published.
