Deep News09-29

Central New Energy Holding (01735) surged over 5% during intraday trading, with a cumulative gain of nearly 50% over the past seven trading sessions. As of press time, the stock was up 3.68%, trading at HK$12.13, with a turnover of HK$127 million.

Central New Energy announced its plan to rename itself as "Central Smart Computing Technology Holdings Group Co., Ltd." This marks a deep evolution of the company's growth logic, shifting from being primarily driven by photovoltaic manufacturing to a composite growth model of "new energy + AI + computing power."

The board of Central Smart Computing stated that the new name better reflects the group's current business development status and future direction. According to the announcement, the company is actively seizing the opportunities presented by the rapid market growth of the global artificial intelligence industry, with plans to invest in, construct, and operate data centers in the future.

This statement from Central Smart Computing is also highly consistent with the company's previously disclosed interim results trend. In the first half of this year, Central Smart Computing's AI chip and server segment revenue reached approximately HK$1.047 billion, accounting for 16.5% of the company's total revenue, demonstrating strong growth momentum.
