Anhui Launches Specialized AI Skills Training Program

Deep News08-06 14:21

Anhui Province has initiated a specialized AI skills training program aimed at closing the gap between campus life and the professional world for graduates.

Led by the Anhui Provincial Department of Education and four other government bodies, a new directive has been issued to enhance graduates' adaptability to the AI industry and create new employment opportunities. The program focuses on unemployed college graduates, offering AI training subsidies of up to 2,400 yuan per person.

The first training session for entrepreneurs across the province has officially commenced, with 89,300 electronic vocational training vouchers distributed to this year's graduates on site.

Key features of the program

The training targets unemployed college graduates as the primary group, while also including other key demographics. The initiative follows a demand-driven approach, structured in a five-step closed loop: identifying needs, selecting institutions, organizing classes and training, conducting final assessments, and providing job recommendations.

Curriculum structure

The training content is tiered and categorized. For professions with established national standards, such as AI trainers, the curriculum strictly adheres to these guidelines. For areas without set standards, the program covers general skills like prompt engineering, AIGC-assisted office work, and intelligent data analysis, as well as development skills like large model fine-tuning and deployment, and AI hardware and software testing, with a strong emphasis on practical application.

Training institutions are particularly encouraged to use the "1+M+N" provincial-level AI general education curriculum system, which extends high-quality university educational resources to vocational training.

Funding and support

Funding for the program is sourced from employment subsidy funds and the unemployment insurance fund. Eligible trainees who complete the program can receive subsidies of up to 2,400 yuan per person. Those who obtain skill-level certificates, such as for AI trainers, are also eligible for additional skill improvement subsidies under existing regulations. Cities like Hefei and Wuhu will establish practical training bases in industrial pilot zones.

Current activities

AI-specific training activities are already in full swing across Anhui. The University of Science and Technology of China has launched an intelligent scientist internship training class, which, through a 60-hour curriculum, aims to equip participants with core theories and methods at the intersection of AI and material science. Concurrently, a provincial-level AI AIGC entrepreneurship demonstration training class has also been initiated.
