SMIC Issues Aggregate 11.56 Million Shares Under Equity Plans

Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (00981) announced that on April 8, 2026, the company issued 76,000 ordinary shares due to the exercise of restricted stock units granted under the 2024 Share Award Plan, adopted on June 28, 2023, by directors of the company.

On the same date, non-director grantees exercised restricted stock units awarded under the 2024 Share Award Plan, resulting in the issuance of 11.1329 million ordinary shares.

Additionally, on April 8, 2026, non-director participants exercised restricted share units granted under the 2014 Share-Based Incentive Award Plan, adopted on June 13, 2013, leading to the issuance of 336,000 ordinary shares.

Furthermore, on April 8, 2026, the company issued a total of 9,527 shares pursuant to the 2014 Share Option Scheme, adopted on June 13, 2013. Separately, on April 2, 2026, the company issued 2,400 shares under the same 2014 Share Option Scheme.
