Shares of BEIGENE (HKEX: 06160) rose more than 4% in early trading. At the time of writing, the stock was up 4.58% to HK$182.7, with a turnover of HK$81.56 million.
The increase follows the company's announcement of positive results from its MANGROVE Phase 3 clinical study (BGB-3111-306; NCT04002297). This global, randomized trial evaluated the company's foundational, self-developed BTK inhibitor, Brukinsa (zanubrutinib), in combination with rituximab, compared to the standard immunochemotherapy regimen of bendamustine plus rituximab (BR), for the first-line treatment of adult patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL).
MANGROVE is the first global Phase 3 study to assess a chemotherapy-free regimen based on a BTK inhibitor against standard immunochemotherapy in this treatment setting. The positive outcome from this pivotal trial is expected to strengthen the clinical evidence base for zanubrutinib in the MCL disease area.
The company plans to present the full results from the MANGROVE study at an upcoming medical conference. BEIGENE is also engaging with global regulatory authorities regarding the registration submission plan, with an aim to file for approval in the second half of 2026.
