China Resources Gas to Replace Auditor KPMG with Deloitte Following May 2026 AGM

Bulletin Express04-30

China Resources Gas Group Limited (the Group) has announced plans to appoint Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu as its new independent auditor, replacing KPMG after the latter’s contract expires at the conclusion of the annual general meeting (AGM) scheduled for 28 May 2026. KPMG has served as auditor since May 2023.

The Board and the Audit and Risk Management Committee initiated the change to strengthen corporate governance and safeguard auditor independence and objectivity. Their selection process assessed multiple criteria, including fee proposals, technical competence in Hong Kong-listed company audits, industry knowledge, resource allocation, independence, and market reputation. The committees also referenced guidelines from the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council on auditor selection and changeovers.

Subject to shareholder approval at the forthcoming AGM, Deloitte will assume audit responsibilities immediately after KPMG’s retirement. The Board expressed appreciation to KPMG for its professional services to date.
