Spot Gold Rises 0.68% to $4,507.52 per Ounce

During Friday's (January 9) New York late session, spot gold increased by 0.68%, reaching $4,507.52 per ounce. Following the release of the US non-farm payrolls report, it climbed from below $4,470, resulting in a cumulative weekly gain of 4.05%. The metal experienced sustained rises on January 5-6, and after an unsuccessful test of the $4,400 level on the 8th, it subsequently expanded its gains again.

COMEX gold futures rose by 1.28%, settling at $4,517.90 per ounce, accumulating a weekly increase of 4.34%.
