According to a report on March 7, insiders revealed that NetEase will cease financial support for the studio led by Toshihiro Nagoshi.
Employees at Nagoshi Studio were reportedly informed of this decision on Friday. NetEase is set to terminate its investment in the studio starting in May. Currently, the studio is negotiating with NetEase regarding the handling of assets. If the studio wishes to retain its brand, it will need to cover the associated costs independently. As of the time of reporting, NetEase has not commented on the matter.
