The 2026 Beijing Financial Education Publicity Week officially commenced on September 7, featuring a citywide initiative to promote financial literacy.

Organized by the Beijing Financial Regulatory Bureau, in collaboration with the Municipal Financial Affairs Office, the People's Bank of China Beijing Branch, and the Beijing Securities Regulatory Bureau, the campaign introduces a series of "Financial Market" events designed to deliver a tech-savvy, engaging, and practical knowledge experience for citizens. The main venue is located at the Financial Street Shopping Center Plaza in Xicheng District, where the new Beijing financial consumer protection mascot "Jing Xiaobao" was unveiled. This lively character will be integrated throughout the event activities, using a friendly persona to communicate professional financial knowledge to ordinary consumers, adding a distinctive highlight to the capital's financial education brand. The main venue also debuts NFC (Near Field Communication) interactive technology, allowing visitors to collect digital stamps by tapping designated points, thereby significantly enhancing their incentive to explore.

Beyond the main venue, the "Financial Market" features multiple themed sub-venues across various administrative districts, in addition to a dedicated college student session, ensuring extensive coverage that targets different population segments through coordinated main and sub-venue activities. For instance, the Dongcheng District Longfu Temple Plaza sub-venue offers a classical-style interactive zone where citizens can learn about personal credit, financial planning, and anti-fraud tips through fun checkpoint challenges. The Tongzhou District sub-venue along the Canal West Bank leverages traditional canal culture, creating an immersive financial knowledge hub through four distinct functional areas. The Chaoyang District Baiziwan sub-venue utilizes the market setting to bring financial education directly to local communities, broadening outreach. The Haidian District Yuyuantan Park sub-venue blends financial knowledge with leisure park experiences, featuring photo-op checkpoints and anti-fraud challenges. The Xicheng District Qianmen Quanyechang sub-venue focuses on industry practitioners, setting up specialized zones for targeted financial education. A sub-venue at Beijing Foreign Studies University targets college students, launching a capital-wide AI short video contest aimed at spreading anti-fraud awareness. Additionally, Beijing financial volunteer teams conduct outdoor outreach at each market location, sharing practical knowledge on fraud prevention, pension finance, and credit protection.

To facilitate cross-venue participation, the event has introduced a dedicated "Consumer Protection Bus Route" that connects all major venues, underscoring the campaign's reach and inclusivity. Through these diverse educational methods, the "Financial Market" aims to strengthen rational consumption habits and risk awareness among financial consumers, ultimately enhancing their overall satisfaction and sense of security.
