Recent data from Singapore's Land Transport Authority reveals that in 2025, BYD Company Limited sold 11,184 passenger vehicles in Singapore, an increase of 80.6% year-on-year, securing the top position as the annual best-selling brand overall. Since its official entry into Singapore's passenger vehicle market in 2022, BYD has reached the number one spot in just two years.
In the commercial vehicle sector, BYD's electric buses officially entered Singapore in 2018. With orders exceeding 500 units, the company has captured over 60% of the market share, firmly holding the leading position in the industry. In October 2025, BYD won a bid for Singapore's first pilot project for an L4 autonomous bus service, marking the first time autonomous buses have been integrated into a public transport system overseas.
In the electric truck segment, BYD entered the Singapore market in 2020, commencing official deliveries of its T9 sanitation truck and becoming the first company to sell electric trucks locally. From 2021 to 2025, the cumulative registration of BYD's pure-electric trucks in Singapore reached 1,450 units, ranking first.
The Singapore market imposes extremely stringent requirements on vehicle safety, energy consumption, and reliability, making it a benchmark in Southeast Asia and globally. On March 26, the all-electric light truck T35 was officially launched in Singapore. Priced at approximately SGD 143,000 (equivalent to about RMB 770,000), inclusive of the Certificate of Entitlement and government subsidies, this price is valid until April 8. The T35 offers flexible and efficient navigation on narrow roads, meeting diverse needs such as urban express delivery and commercial distribution, providing a zero-emission, high-efficiency solution for the local logistics industry.
To date, in the passenger vehicle sector, BYD has deployed models including the ATTO 3, Dolphin, Seal, and Sea Lion, while its premium brand Denza has introduced models like the D9 and B5, covering multiple market segments. In the commercial vehicle sector, BYD has established a product lineup comprising electric buses, heavy-duty trucks, and light trucks.
