Zhejiang Shibao 2025 ESG Report Highlights 42.7% Carbon Cut and 7.73 Million kWh Green Power Generation

Zhejiang Shibao released its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, detailing sharp progress in decarbonisation, strengthened governance and supply-chain oversight across its mainland China operations and subsidiaries.

Environmental performance • Scope 1+2 greenhouse-gas emissions fell 42.70% year-on-year to 27,012.53 tCO₂e, while emission intensity dropped 65.40% to 0.0606 tCO₂e per RMB 10,000 of revenue. • Distributed photovoltaic projects generated 7.73 million kWh, covering 17.50% of externally purchased electricity and underpinning a 45.20% cut in Scope 2 emissions. • Total energy consumption decreased 50.30% to 34.25 million kWh, with energy intensity down 66.30%. • Water usage rose 15.70% to 104,116 tons, yet water intensity improved 28.40% as reclamation reached 5,166 tons. • Solid-waste generation contracted 34.20% to 1,203.93 tons; all hazardous waste (670.45 tons) was treated at a 100% compliant disposal rate. • Short-term goals include an 8% year-on-year cut in energy use per unit of output and boosting clean-energy share to 25%.

Governance and risk management • A three-tier ESG governance model—Board, ESG Committee and Working Group—oversees strategy, risk assessment and disclosure. • The company delivered 129 compliance-focused training sessions (163.5 hours; 2,645 participants) and reported no major tax, environmental or corruption violations. • Internal audits cover fund management, procurement, asset control and related-party transactions, with a closed-loop “findings–rectification–review” process.

Responsible supply chain • Supplier base reached 602, of which 436 underwent annual audits and 375 completed environmental assessments; all must adhere to the company’s anti-forced labour and integrity codes. • Performance is graded quarterly, with underperforming suppliers subject to corrective timelines or disqualification.

Product quality and innovation • No product recalls were recorded; 98 customer complaints were fully resolved. • Quality management aligns with IATF 16949, backed by 46 training sessions (125 hours). • Zhejiang Shibao secured 78 new intellectual-property rights and contributed to 13 industry standards during the year.

Human capital and safety • Workforce expanded to 2,596 employees, 45% of whom are under 30. • Training investment reached RMB 5.78 million, averaging 13.7 hours per employee; coverage stood at 86%. • Occupational safety registered zero fatalities, with 50.5 lost workdays and RMB 7.48 million dedicated to safety initiatives.

Forward pathway The ESG Committee will review climate targets annually, pursue Science Based Targets initiative alignment, introduce supplier carbon-management platforms and explore an internal carbon-pricing mechanism by 2028.
