Lopal Tech allocates RMB1.00 billion to 22-day ICBC structured deposit

Bulletin Express07-24

Jiangsu Lopal Tech. Group Co., Ltd. (Lopal Tech) disclosed that on 24 July 2026 it placed RMB1.00 billion in a CNY Structured Deposit issued and managed by Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC). The investment period runs from 27 July 2026 to 18 August 2026, spanning 22 days.

The product carries a principal- and minimum-return guarantee, is internally classified by ICBC as low risk and offers an expected annualised return range of 0.65%–2.00%. The return is pegged to the midpoint of the EUR/USD spot rate (Bloomberg “BFIX EURUSD”), and the subscriber has no early-redemption rights.

Lopal Tech stated that the subscription deploys temporary idle funds, was not financed by proceeds from the company’s Global Offering or the H-share placings completed in 2025 and 2026, and will not affect its working-capital position.

Under Hong Kong Listing Rules, the latest placement must be aggregated with two outstanding ICBC wealth-management subscriptions made on 20 May 2026 and 3 July 2026 totalling RMB50.00 million. The combined size pushes the highest applicable percentage ratio above 5 % but below 25 %, classifying the transaction as discloseable and requiring announcement but not shareholder approval in accordance with Chapter 14.

Lopal Tech is dual-listed in Shanghai and Hong Kong and focuses on LFP cathode materials and automotive specialty chemicals. ICBC is a major commercial bank in the PRC and is independent of Lopal Tech and its connected persons.
