CEB Water (01857) announced that the company, an environmental group specializing in integrated water environment solutions, has recently received two significant accolades in the Singapore capital market.
In the annual "Billion Dollar Club" awards hosted by the authoritative financial media *The Edge Singapore*, CEB Water was honored with the "Highest ROE Over Three Years" and "Industry Composite Award" in the Utilities category of the "Centurion Club." Additionally, the company climbed to the 49th position in the 2025 Singapore Governance and Transparency Index (SGTI). These achievements highlight Singapore market's recognition of CEB Water's corporate governance, business development, and overall competitiveness.
The "Billion Dollar Club" awards, launched in 2017 by *The Edge Singapore*, aim to recognize outstanding companies listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) and provide valuable references for investors. The "Centurion Club" evaluates companies based on their three-year annualized returns, weighted return on equity (ROE), and net profit growth, covering 13 industries, including financial services, energy, REITs, technology, utilities, real estate, and healthcare. CEB Water first received the "Best Company" award in the Services category in 2019 and has now secured two more honors this year, demonstrating its strength in capital returns, operational efficiency, and industry competitiveness.
The 2025 Singapore Governance and Transparency Index, jointly released by the Singapore Institute of Directors, the Centre for Governance and Sustainability at the National University of Singapore Business School, and CPA Australia, assesses 467 SGX-listed companies and 42 trusts on governance and transparency in disclosures. The evaluation is based on five criteria: board responsibilities, shareholder rights, ESG and stakeholder engagement, accountability and audit, and transparency in public disclosures. CEB Water's ranking has steadily improved from 237th in 2021 to 49th in 2025, reflecting its continuous enhancement in corporate governance and compliance disclosures.
Mr. Xiong Jianping, Executive Director and CEO of CEB Water, stated, "We are honored to receive these recognitions from the Singapore capital market, which affirm our strategic resilience, operational efficiency, and commitment to high governance and transparency standards. Sound governance and disciplined disclosures remain the cornerstone of our sustainable development. Moving forward, we will further strengthen governance, optimize capital allocation, and enhance innovation in our water business to deliver sustainable long-term value for shareholders, employees, clients, and other stakeholders."
