Former UBS Banker Yuan Yuan Appointed Board Secretary of Great Wall Motor

Great Wall Motor (02333.HK) announced on Friday, July 24, that the company's board of directors has approved the appointment of Ms. Yuan Yuan as the company's Board Secretary, along with the confirmation of her compensation package. Her term will commence from the date of board approval and last until the end of the ninth board of directors' term.

In addition to her role as Board Secretary, Ms. Yuan Yuan has also been appointed as the Joint Company Secretary and Authorized Representative.

According to the announcement, Ms. Yuan Yuan, aged 45, officially assumed the roles of Board Secretary and Joint Company Secretary on July 24, 2026. She has been with Great Wall Motor since February 2023, serving as the General Manager of Securities Business within the Securities and Investment Department.

Prior to joining the company, Ms. Yuan Yuan accumulated over 17 years of investment banking experience in domestic and international capital markets, focusing on corporate financing and mergers and acquisitions. From July 2005 to January 2023, she worked in investment banking roles across various subsidiaries of UBS AG (UBSAG), ultimately serving as an Executive Director and Head of the Industrial Group in the Global Investment Banking Department at UBS Securities Co., Ltd., where she also registered as an A-share sponsor representative.

Ms. Yuan Yuan earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics, majoring in Finance, and a Master's degree in Economics, majoring in International Trade, from the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University in July 2003 and July 2005, respectively.
