DiDi Global Inc. has officially opened its first authorized driver service flagship store in Hangzhou, marking a significant milestone in the company's efforts to enhance its offline service capabilities. The launch, which took place recently, coincides with the trial operations of similar flagship stores in Shenzhen and Shanghai, completing the upgrade of DiDi's three-tier offline driver service store system.
By integrating online and offline service channels, DiDi aims to create a seamless closed-loop experience for drivers, strengthening its commitment to providing comprehensive support and assistance. The Hangzhou flagship store's inauguration was conducted under the guidance of industry regulators and relevant government departments, with representatives from various organizations, including the Municipal Social Work Department, the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, the Chunan County Federation of Trade Unions, the Hangzhou Transportation Bureau, the Hangzhou Public Security Bureau, and the Municipal Taxi Industry Association, attending the ceremony alongside industry and driver representatives.
During the opening event, the Hangzhou flagship store was designated as a "Union Service Station," a "Caring Driver Hub," and a "Community Safety Post," integrating party building, labor union services, public security collaboration, and conflict resolution into a multi-functional support center. Hu Huijian, deputy director of the Hangzhou Road Transport Management Service Center and party secretary of the Municipal Taxi Industry Association, praised the initiative, stating that the establishment of the first DiDi driver service flagship store in Hangzhou represents an innovative practice of government-enterprise collaboration to serve new employment groups and deepen grassroots industry governance.
The store extends the platform's traditional online management to offline physical services, upgrading from business supervision to comprehensive care for drivers. This approach truly focuses on addressing driver needs, responding to their concerns, and solving their problems, setting a positive example for improving service quality and governance efficiency in the city's ride-hailing industry. The DiDi driver service flagship store operates under the philosophy of "If you need help, DiDi will handle it with care," centering on four core functions: face-to-face problem resolution, rest and replenishment, support and care, and guidance for new drivers.
Wang Wende, DiDi's regional head for ride-hailing services, emphasized the importance of quality, stating, "Every store must stand up to scrutiny from drivers. DiDi will continue to work under the guidance of regulators to promote collaborative governance, bringing traffic safety education, rights protection, and hardship assistance directly to drivers." Since the trial launch of the driver service flagship stores in Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and Shanghai, they have collectively served over 15,000 drivers, with a satisfaction rate exceeding 98.6%.
Looking ahead, DiDi plans to establish 5-10 authorized driver service flagship stores across multiple cities nationwide within this year, solidifying its three-tier driver service store system of "flagship stores, partner first and second-level stores, and DiDi stations." This expansion aims to achieve tiered services, scenario-based operations, and precise coverage to better meet the diverse needs of drivers.
